Mute Swanby JawnyRicoComment: I might prefer this with a different crop. My eye is drawn all the way to the left where the swan's eye is and out of the picture. |

Survivorby ArpeggioAngelComment: I think the background is a distraction here. I would recommend using a larger aperture to make the background more out of focus. |

Feeling Peckishby jrjrComment: Very nice! I like the sharp separation between the subject and the background. |

Ready for Winterby DrAchooComment: Nice job with what appears to be a difficult, high dynamic range exposure. Did you use a flash? |

Northern Cardinal by timfythetooComment: Nice and sharp! I like the soft background and the color. My only suggestion would be for a different crop- the way it is right now feels a little heavily weighted towards left of the photo and is taking my eye out of the image rather than in. |

Parrot Passionby classycamComment: The lighting on this shot is a bit harsh for my tastes (looks like direct, on-camera flash). Perhaps diffusing or adding another light source would help produce some interesting lighting gradients or shadows. |

War Cryby trevytrevComment: I like the sharpness and action in this shot, but in my opinion the dynamic contrast between the highlights on the beak and the dark space at the edges of the photo is a bit too harsh. |

My blue-eyed boyby LenaComment: The flash is a bit harsh on this shot. Maybe try covering your flash with some white paper or cloth or bouncing it off the ceiling to soften it a bit. |

Lilyby smartypantsComment: This is too soft for my tastes and lacks a focal point. |
