This is an outstanding photo to start with. Colors are beautiful. Foggy mist well captured with perfect blend of contrast and translucency. Powerful composition with trees and hills. I am not normally a fan of borders but this border treatment really enhances the photo. Among my top picks.

This is really nice. I like the dynamics of the flight of the Pelicans (?) which contrasts well with the static cluster of birds below. The foggy background is a perfect backdrop, bright enough to set off the birds, translucent enough to see some detail and break up the monotany. Reflections add depth. Among my top picks this challenge.

There is a Spanish contemporary artist (whose work I quite like but whose name I can't remember) that does pueblo scenes in the style of your background. For me this is among my top picks in the challenge. The sharp focus on the bird contrasts well with the ultra-soft focus of the background, as do the colors. Composition is wonderful, not just the placement of the bird but also the blurred shapes of the background. Colors are appealing especially during the Fall in N. America. I confess you lost me with the title, but I don't care. Beautiful photo.

Very photogenic subject, well captured. I love the detail you preserved. Stark contrasts are appealing.. Would have been a good entry in Implied Lines. Among my top picks. Would make an excellent addition to any travel brochure of the area.

I am an airshow buff and have seen many many jets form similar vapor bursts but can never seem to capture them with my camera. Right place, right time for you! Very dramatic. Very action-filled. Outstanding focus. Very good technical capture. My only nit, and it's a small one, ... I might have tried to fiddle with the sky to create a bit more drama behind the plane. Especially below and to the left. I can see the detail is there, and it would take a subtle hand with PS to pull it off. Might be worth a try for a print. (10)

I have spent quite a bit of time in Morocco and in the Sahara. This reminds me very much of what I saw there. The composition is terrific. I like the zones of the photo (plane, dunes, mountains, clouds and sky) and the way they reinforce each other. I like the dramatic contrast fo the dunes and their perfectly captured color. I like the light falling on the brooding mountains that seem to be watching over the dunes like a parent watching over a child. I'd like to know where you took this. You really nailed it! (10)

Bigger, please! I can't appreciate the detail if I can't see it.
