B.Bby Rando D300Comment: I like the high contrast nature of the photo and the crisp focus. Composition is virtually perfect. I confess you lost me a little with the title (B.B = Bad Bird?) but it didn't hurt your score in my eyes. Well done. Among my top picks. |

Physicalityby nico_blueComment: Dramatic composition and brilliant use of color and levels creates a shot with substantial tension in it. I like it a lot and it's among my top picks. |

crater floorby whiteroomComment: I like what you've done zoning the picture into 4 horizontal zones using color and line. You've lost some of the sky detail but I don't think that can be helped. Among my top picks. |

Steam train tracksby Pep VentosaComment: Great capture of the fog throughout. The reds and golds of the fallen leaves contrast nicely with the darker tones of the forest. Strong composition. Nicely done. Among my top picks. |

Pathway of Lightby scalvertComment: One of the best captures of sun dappled forest fog I've ever seen. Beautifully done with a high degree of difficulty. Among my top picks. |

Shifting Sands by photomComment: Reminds me of the Sahara. Very nicely captured. I like the composition, especially the negative space and the way the flow of the sand guides my eye around. Stark contrast between sand and mountains works well for me. Focus is excellent throughout. I love the detail of the sand in the shadow in the center of the photo. My only nit, and it's minor really, is that I would have cloned out two spots on the image ... one in the lower left corner and one just below the ridgeline of the sand about 20% in from the left. This is among my top picks this challenge. |

First Snowby spillerComment: Reminds me of the Cascade (or possibly Olympic) Mountains the the Pacific Northwest US. Wonderfully captures the first snowfall feel. Crisp. Clear. The clouds add a nice dynamic touch. The whole scene feels fragile, like it will be gone in an hour, and demands that you appreciate it RIGHT NOW or you'll miss it. Among my top picks. |

Autumn Corn Fieldsby mariomelComment: Among my top picks. Dramatic sky is nice. The composition is arranged to force your eye upwards, no matter where you start makes it an "uplifting" photo. Very nice range in colors and levels. DOF preserves the detail of the whole photo. Very nicely done. |

The Icelandic Highlandby andrimComment: Okay, that does it. I have seen many beautiful pictures of Iceland, including this one. I've gotta go.
I like the composition. The hills under the road with the lines in the field running perpendicular to the road is powerful. Sunlight contrasted with shadow and the darkening sky is very nice. The contrast in scale (foreground and background) is nice. Well done. Among my top picks. |

Swirling Lightby banmornComment: This abstract appeals to me on a lot of levels. I like the repeated forms. I like the smooth gradients of light and shadow. I like the angled composition. DOF maintained focus throughout. Very well done and among my top picks. |
