116A8547FD by Pk395Comment: Extraordinary image, so intent is the bird, and so doomed is the fish. The sharpness and colors reach out and tear away the film separating the viewer's comfort of distance from the immediacy of actual experience. Momentous. |

The Prophecy of the Dawn by JudiComment: This moody image, centered on the rounded hill, immediately pulls you into the realm of magic. I like the overall dark exposure. The hilltop manages to be dark and sunlit at the same time, subtly establishing the mood. It's pregnant with adventure. |

Yellow Cosmos Hand Painted in PSby Donna-DeeComment: An unusual stretching of traditional photography, being a creation wholly made within the software landscape. And it's lovely, buttery and heartfelt. Something special. |

Charlie by salmiakkiComment: Terrific feel of bygone days. Formal yet casual. The color palette is excellent. That cup is so important. |

Colour Of The Outbackby westfordComment: Gave it the 7. I liked the intensity, and if you set aside that these are hills the overall design, flow and contrast are appealing. Too bad this didn't get more appreciation. |

Dirty Frog Footprintsby grahamgatorComment: Draws one in as the footprints are followed and decoded, now entering this frog's world. Elegant composition, diverse textures and lovely tones. Though not as spare as a far eastern painting, the footprints wonderfully ground the image.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

Puzzling windows but premium viewby pgirish007Comment: I guess the two light beams provide a hook, but I feel that the glittering array of lights in windows is sufficient to showcase the beauty of this urban night. It's innocent voyeurism to flit about, window to window, enjoy the colors and imagine the multitude of stories behind them. Fascinating brocade. |

Taffetaby DistantColoursComment: Figuring this is rime. The window is well-served as nature's canvas. As such, it showcases a natural growth of pattern, enhanced by handsome colors that bring it out. Like marbled paper. A lovely fantasy. |

Midnight Train by njsabsComment: Iconic, cinematic image. Her look, so provocative, can convey a host of moods and emotions. It's a beautifully handled portrait. Fine composition that doesn't seem at all unbalanced. The window, which catches the rain, is also just right. The implication of tears is not lost. |

Looking inby AmmieComment: Beautiful, this handsome cat against the sumptuous red background. It feels so right. I like the processing and the complexity it fosters. No wonder they've been both worshipped and feared.
One thing, though. The diagonal dark line in the upper left, perhaps a handle, keeps drawing my eye away from the cat. |
