always the same...by skewsmeComment: Beautifully conveys the untethered landscape of dreams. The amorphous creature to the left, the nightmarish entity, nicely blends into the undergrowth, like a cranial x-ray revealing a wilderness of synapses. Time to wake up.

Sandman by gyabanComment: Being torn from your (I'm assuming) child is certainly an unbearable horror. This image forcefully conveys the lofted man's emotional anguish. It's dynamic and unfolds with a fine palette. I do wonder, however, why the girl's demeanor is rather placid. Must be a reason for this.

Two tomatoesby mluComment: Strikingly elegant and gracefully attained. The colors are wonderful, saturated and pastel in charming harmony. The wonderful texture clinches the deal, so artfully devised. My favorite utensil sculpture of all time.

The Tree in the Floodby GeneralEComment: If there can be a tempest in a teapot, then why not a maelstrom in a kitchen? Mysterious and unfathomable, though I'm venturing a guess -- the sink? This is the art I hoped and imagined would be found by our creators. |

Four Tines Threeby DistantColoursComment: This is so interesting, ethereal, clever and happily startling. It's a mysterious formation of pinnacles poking just above the mist. And that misty central gray is exquisitely delicate, as befits the magical impulse that raised the upthrust tines.
Fine.

Sunkissedby MaryOComment: Love the backlighting of the daffodils. The interplay of tones is fascinating. The subtle starburst is very pleasing. |

Arc by pgirish007Comment: The best starbursts of the challenge. Sleek, bejeweled in the night. |

rootby primabarbaraComment: Love the sprawling roots that lead to the upright trunks, a chalice for the starburst. Too bad about the arrow. |

Making an effortby markwileyComment: Interesting starburst, artfully deployed and integrated into the overall image. Fine, moody atmosphere. |

The front yardby bsluijkComment: Except for that lower bottom one, the starbursts are understated, which I appreciate. The entirety of the image is intricate and enjoyable to explore. The variety of shapes and lines, then, is engaging while avoiding being cacophanous. So suitable for a black and white treatment.
