perspectiveby TiberiusComment: Nice eye to recognize this hodge-podge of architecture, which clicks together like puzzle. There's a charming intricacy and pleasure about it. All those lives under the bright sunshine. |

A Study in Red and Goldby vawendyComment: Feels like a glimpse of a world of only birds. The ducks, crane and red-winged blackbirds are placed as if inevitable, even amidst a flurry of activity. The title is certainly apt, yet there is so much more. Moving (no pun intended). |

Midwayby ytshuvaComment: Terrific breaking wave upon the beach. The layers and the glass-like ocean work much like a parfait. The dramatic, even chaotic clouds seem like breaking waves themselves, a mystic mirror image of the serene scene below. I gives the whole a deep resonance. That tiny surfboard paddler adds immensely to the image. Rewarding. |

Keepers of the Herd by grahamgatorComment: Beautiful, bucolic image. Painterly, perhaps even a watercolor. This is all about the light and the atmosphere, weather-wise and emotional. The sun and sky are very nicely presented. The further background fades into the fog, which imbues the entire scene with serenity. The muted palette is lovely in service to the mood. I'd expect to find such an image in a museum.
Personal second favorite of the challenge. |

Green-Eyed Monsterby GinaRothfelsComment: Startling, luminous image. Creative presentation. Incompletion is often tantalizing, as here are the antennae and wings. The glowing, see through body has overtones of a tiger in the night. The bewitching green eye immediately grabs attention, and many lines lead towards it. The harmoniously colored flecks of the ground upon which this insect (grasshopper?) stands is deftly accomplished. And the use of negative space? Don't even ask. All in all, perfectly achieved.

Sun Rayby gdkComment: Lovely. The tiny details, the taillights and crescent moon, make a huge impact. |

Also the background. Nicely balanced.
No, not really, although I guess we always absorb from other photographers and their work. I take this as a compliment, considering how beautiful Mary Ann's work is
Sorry about the misattribution but, as you took it, I meant it as a high compliment. |

BogEdge Near Duskby Bear_MusicComment: Terrific accelerating blur that feels like entering hyperspace. The cranberries (I'm thinking) are beautiful, that final blurring like sunset clouds. Also reminded of a bride and her flowing veil. She's either running towards or away.
