"Elisheva" is 52 years old by ytshuvaComment: Looks familiar, but this new treatment is also winning. The sky, water and ship are all lent character by the addition of the grain. The grain also contributes to the mood. Nicely done. |

A little flooding in Gardenby MonaComment: I like this photo very much, but don't really see the grain. Otherwise I would have given it a higher rating. Both peaceful and jarring, it stays the course. |

Similar but not the same by NeatComment: Quiet and graceful, bespeaking aristocratic restraint, until the background picture collapses the facade and winks. Now playfulness comes to the fore, and its import is so much more interesting. Lovely control of the light, and a nice amount of grain. |

The Mannequinby ladpupmoeComment: Beautifully set out. Fine disposition of light and, hand in hand, tones. Fetching composition. I love the diagonal slash of the draped fabric. The grain itself is a statement, dusting the image with glitter, but not meant in an easy, flashy way.

Smiles are Contagiousby rozComment: Yes, the dearest moments, do they shimmer forever or add to the subtle patchwork? Wonderful portrait of them both. The emotion, the tones, lighting, composition, everything. All superbly handled. The touch of grain is light and deft, almost inevitable. An heirloom.

The Morning Coffeeby MonaComment: Fascinating geometry. Triangles in opposite corners, separated by a white wood plank, arrowed at the ends, with a playful grouping of circles at center. Impressive how the straightforward challenge is elevated by a creative imagination.

Twisk Rdby TiberiusComment: Three ways! Through the gate at a border into the mist, or downhill, or whatever else. The monks are at this spot. Plying the Way that isn't a way. Wandering like clouds. Wonderful image. |

Committed by namComment: Lovely demonstration of the challenge. The choice is made and the future is that much more determined. Autumn colors brim over. New adventures await. |

Meeting of Glaciersby MargaretNetComment: In addition to the majestic, wild beauty of the scene, the "meeting of glaciers" is momentous in its vastness and actual impact, in its ineluctable inevitability. You can almost feel the reverberations deep within. The downward movement of the glaciers means that a fork in the road is not encountered, but the tines meld into a handle. Can't quite put a finger on the therefore of this.
