uh ohby tnunComment: I was fascinated by this image, yet didn't quite know what to make of it. Not that that really matters. Hence the 6. |

Parkingby namComment: Plain lovely, which might be why it did well yet garnered no comments. Maybe because the rewards are subliminal. The composition and the expanse of blue are simple eye candy. And the window by itself is a marvel.
And it fooled me, for as I write this I wish I had given it a higher rating. |

CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS AHEADby rozComment: Nicely presented, the sleek car forging into the messy uncertainties of wind and rain.
Changed traffic conditions ahead, indeed. Like in a video game, the viewer feels like the driver, which can induce a moment of panic for those used to driving on the right hand side of the road. An oncoming truck is bearing down on me! Whew, that's too close. Rewarding, intimate scene. |

Take the long road...slowly by AmmieComment: That's a long road. And a sign! Still, the wonderful expanse casts the spell. I like the muted palette, the serenity, the overall painterly feel. The composition falls right into place. Casually beautiful. |

Say Cheese! by RanklesComment: Commanding situation, enclosed by cheese, breathing its air, the chill and damp (or dry, what do I know) feel. The stone wall, the aura of age. The aroma seems almost tangible, thick and insistent. Also, the depth of field suits the scene, being narrow and the cheeses fading away, an implication of abundance. When you took the picture did you request, "say cheeeeze." ? Rises hardily to the challenge.
Personal second favorite of the challenge. |

Savoring the Bouquetby namComment: Surprisingly, this is the only image of someone actually using their nose, and this brings the sensation all the closer, and his pleasure, and being able to imagine yourself in his place. And it's a strong image, the balanced composition that fills the frame, the harmonious tones and colors, the latter bearing on burgundy. Highly satisfying.

harbourby TiberiusComment: In this post-challenge viewing I feel more enchanted by this image -- decorous and still so real. |

Lil' darling..by AmmieComment: Sweet, kind of high key portrait. This child knows way more than we understand. I wouldn't quibble with the photographer about the amount of grain, but it looks sandy enough to hope he or she doesn't harm his or her teeth in the eating of the food. Tender touch. |

The Crossing Guardby NikonJebComment: Works for me, not knowing what's going on but yet quite evocative. If I had to make a stab at interpreting the image I'd say it's an image of your childhood school and the evil principal, or maybe springtime in the gulag. In any case, bravo for experimentation and creativity. |
