Solitaryby digifotojoComment: Fine image. The elegant lines, some regular and some irregular, are very engaging, punctuated by the stately central tree in silhouette. I like the muted palette. The modestly green grass stands out as downright luxuriant. Nice quiet feeling. |

Mar 10 - Valveby hajekaComment: Good image that dives into the smaller realm with intensity and affection. B&W is the way to go. The crossing of the spokes in the background is a revelation in and of itself. The other grainy shapes, tones and lines merit exploration.

salmone frescoby mariucaComment: This image of the six is most engaging and heartbreaking, underscored by the fact that I eat fish myself. The swordfish, who's half chopped away and sold for dinner, seems alive and surprised at what has become of him or her. It's a silent tragedy that passes for normal, even despite a lifetime of preying on a multitude of smaller fish. The purveyor is well-posed engaged in the opposite direction. The combination of blues and pinks works well. |

Encounterby MargaretNetComment: Very interesting idea. I see it as a beast of burden greeting someone who looks burdened himself. I wonder if it's a bridge of mortality or an embrace of a troubled soul. I believe the latter, as animals can be this generous and loving. |

Chapel Doorsby digifotojoComment: I like how the red changes tones in response to sunlight and sun bleaching. Also the interesting contrast with the soft purple of the entryway flagstones. Except for the lamp, nice bucolic feel. |

Mar 09 - Earlyby hajekaComment: I really enjoy this image, simple as it is. The forward tulip nicely overlays the further one and this overlap is like the succession of spring. Lovely bokeh.
And your description, "Somewhere hidden...", is very poetic. |

a message without wordsby rozComment: I prefer your other picture of the two. Not sure if the hands are adorable or kind of a distraction. Again, the speckling seems gratuitous. |

5 months oldby rozComment: Lovely, loving image. A beautiful baby, with full cheeks and forehead, understanding eyes and expressive mouth, with that wonderful reflection on the lower lip. The muted tones and textures are perfect for the subject. I see the original, but in this b & w version the room seems dim and intimate, so nicely done. The best surprise, only lately noticed, is his/her mother coddling from above, almost disappeared but radiant with love. I don't feel the highlights improve the picture, but aside from that it's utterly charming. |

Extension Cord In Waterby rodfulkComment: Moving out of the shops and mechanical rooms, this image is not only cautionary but also esthetically pleasing. The ground, left, right and boundary, is an interesting abstract. The plug, though female, looks like it fits perfectly into the notch on the edge of the white portion. The white area looks like a fish or some other amazing creature beyond our ken. The presence of the extension cord adds a little jolt to the scene. |

stuffed zucchini flowersby mariucaComment: And now the stuffed flower heads. They look tasty, and I'm wondering what they've been stuffed with. I can't help noticing the parallel to an earlier image of yours, "a little break", with two glasses of wine and chips on a metal table on a street in Italy. I like this image too, as the casual hominess shines through. I wonder if these high calorie photos will subtly nudge our waists outward. |
