existences IV by TiberiusComment: Incredible as it is what it is, it's almost impossible to not let it go abstract and further absorb and titillate. |

Condo Lobbyby CuttoothComment: I agree with you on many fronts -- drama, mystery, composition, tones, framing and holding the eye. |

the long good byeby mariucaComment: Uncannily beautiful and moving, deftly minimal. One could even call it an articulate smudge. I love how the vast grainy foreground and background parlay the stripe of activity into poetry. |

aftermathby jmritzComment: A haunting, deep image. After the ambulance arrives. This is never good, prompted by pain and perhaps anguish or death. But along with despair the sun is shining, even brightly, and life goes on. The aftermath bifurcates into sadness and the glory of existence. The image is full and resonant, with a complicated, strong composition and visiting a lush range of tones and emotions.

Are you sure they're not spiders?by vawendyComment: Curiosity pushed me to look this up. Under their other name (there are several), harvestmen, we can discover that they're arachnids but not spiders. They have only one pair of eyes and their bodies are not segmented. They belong to a distinct order, Opiliones, distantly related to spiders.
And, oh, this is a terrific image. I love how the close focus on the body leaves most of the legs out of.
Along this line of interesting tidbits, the little tank-like sowbugs are not bugs at all. They are crustaceans. |

take 5by tangueraComment: This was my favorite image in the challenge. It's clever, subtle, interesting, tells a story, and has lovely blanched light, setting the time of day perfectly. This light (and flash?) washes out the yellow of the scooter, but that's how it works. The yellow in so many entries appears ratcheted up in "look at me" fashion. OK, it's a set-up shot, but it's done so very well. And what a fascinating shadow. |

Dreams left behind by vawendyComment: Congratulations on the blue. A silky image with beautiful colors, subtle textures and sculpturing, a natural bi-color. Love the blush of sun on the sand. A lovely shoreline study.
