Is that why it's called the spinal column? That's certainly surreal- you must not get hugged very often, and I'm guessing you don't have a waterbed. I'd like to see a bit more space around the head, and less behind... you get the point. ;-)

GF, king of the double exposure! Another clever shot of your better half. The suspenders and hat are a nice touch, and I like that you've split the figure in a natural spot on the piano. The reflections are a minor distraction, but this imaginative image should still fall within the top 5. Well done!

LOL- The grainy, uneven lighting works against you, but it's a purrfect concept. 7

Nicely surreal. More ambient light would have helped reduce those harsh shadows. A little overboard on the eye, but I do appreciate a good pun. Seen any? ;-)

Pretty scene, but not a particularly surreal one. Probably won't do well in the challenge, but with some spot editing it should be on your wall.

That's just one cow short of a ribbon in Surrealism ;-)

The colors have a nice, surreal quality, so it meets the challenge for me. On the other hand, you'd have trouble with the 'digital art' crowd, the composition is busy, and there's no real sharp focus anywhere. I would guess the high 4- low 5 range.

I can't believe you came so close to a ribbon, and walked away empty handed yet again. Another outstanding photo from a true master.

Outstanding surrealism. Sure to be in the top 5, if not a ribbon. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that suit belongs to a Canadian banker. ;-)

That's a lot of effort to walk away from, but I think you made the right choice. There is absolutely no question that this is surrealism (and probably a 6+ score), but you'd get dinged a bit for the lighting on the green face, and there's something lacking (for me) on the appeal factor- perhaps the stoic expressions. I have no doubt that an entry you'd choose over this would score better because this topic is right up your alley.
