Yep, should've placed higher. Interesting that only the blue ribbon winner had more votes of 10 in this challenge.

Congrats on your first blue, Annah! I'm sure it won't be your last. You didn't make my favorite photographer's list by accident. ;-)

Looks like Graphicfunk up to his old tricks. You must have a whole freakin' museum of musical instruments. Once again, a clever idea and expertly lit. One of the best illusions in the bunch- probably a top 10. The only suggestion I'd make is that the uh... Klingon Guitar should be resting on a surface so that only the hands are floating.

OK... bumping to a 10. You might have another ribbon on your dismembered hands.

Excellent illusion, but so many toys typically make an entry feel amateurish and distract from the idea. What if you had drawn the same thing in sidewalk chalk so that real people could stand on it, or maybe placed a single Slinky going down the staris?

Ah... the old Peach Bum trick. The illusion is obvious, but some of the potential is wasted. If you had put this in a context that made it seem real, you'd be headed for a ribbon. For example, imagine if you showed a hand holding the peach, with a plumber working under a sink or a baby in the background, and positioned it juuuuust right... ;-)

A cute idea, and the illusion is well executed, but the small subject is all but lost in the clutter. A tighter crop and less "stuff" would have helped immensely IMO.

I've seen similar photos many times, but this one is particularly well executed. I personally would have cropped a little off the sides (at least the left), but I wouldn't be surprised to find the silhouette of a ribbon around Apollo's neck next week. 9

Nicely done, Dan! Congrats on yet another top 10 finish. Now how 'bout telling us simple folks how you pulled it off? ;-)

So you're the only one from the herd who spotted this scene? Great catch! Right on topic, and the couple adds a lot of interest, though a vertical crop might yield a better composition. You lose a point for the easily-corrected tilted horizon, but still a fine entry. 7
