Road into Silenceby russiComment: This is a very imaginative shot which captures the idea of an escape from somethign to the silence of the distant hills. Beautiful colouration and the composition is excellent. Border is nice too. |

Rough with the Smoothby ImagineerComment: More from the Lakes! Lovely. So much potential in these places. Oddly distracted in this image though by that greyish blur in centre of lower right quadrant. Wonder what's going on there? |

Field at Restby gingerbakerComment: Wondefrful composition, lighting, textures. Love the subtle animal tracks. Hope this does well. Was the colour cast natural? One of my two 10s. |

silence ................snore............by HeidieComment: There's another image like this. I'm afraid a hammer hitting a clock with bells on it is 'noise' of a significant order to me not 'silence' Having said that it's technically a well crafted shot and scores well on the 5 points I reserve for such things! |

Sound of Silenceby hallizhComment: This photo feels like you've gone outside, pointed your camera at a tree and pressed the button. The flash has highlighted the grass (flash can only travel a limited distance) and leaves little of interest in the frame. If your camera is capable, try a long exposure (30 sec or so) and highlight the tree with a torch. You might get some interestign effects that manage to evoke silence a bit better. |

Air Guitarby AlbertmdhComment: Ha ha. I like it. Lighting could have been better - there's a harsh glare of the face of the instrument. Also to composition is a bit bland as I fail to get a sense of this instrument as a crafted 3D object. |

Quiet Timeby cmangisComment: A very appealing image but like so many others in this challenge I am struggling to feel the silence. Peace and tranquility maybe in the heart of a city but this image does not speak to me of silence for the simple reason that cities are noisy places. Still it scores well for its composition. |

Deserted Boardwalk and Beachby coolharComment: I've never been to a beach and experienced silence, particularly not when there are waves breaking. This is an effective evokation of emptiness but not IMHO, silence.. |

Quiet Reflectionby KatspetkatComment: Without the title there is little in this image that evokes silence, 'Nothing' maybe but not silence. |
