Stranger in a strange landby RulerZigzagComment: comment only.
Another image that explains why I'm not voting. We have a well composed and exposed image that does convey a story and the title adds weight to the image however, what is the unique element here? The scene is unique to me but every image submitted to a challenge is unique, even if its a water drop and a gut in the street could also be considered cliche - a strong image and good luck! |

now micheals guitar gently weepsby cutoutComment: comment only.
Last minute entry or last minute title change? The title tells me thats a guitar? but can't see any other tie in to the title other than its a wacko shot? I must admit I quite like images like this that allow the viewer to decide what they are seeing, some people say thats what art is. Sadly, imho the dpc voter prefer in your face sharp and shiny objects. Good luck and I look forward to reading your fotog notes post challenge. |

Wait...I dropped my sunglassesby JudiComment: comment only.
I scanned the entries at work today and just went past the thumb without opening it. WOW back at home on a decent monitor this is WAW cool!
I love nitpicking a good shot as I feel the better shots are taken by people who can accept (and probably already know) how their image could be improved. I'm intrigued to know how you cropped this as if the rider were in the saddle in this crop you may well have cut the top of her head off? I'd also have liked you to have straightened the horizon and that would have removed the shadow bottom right. does the orig have all the shadow of the horse visable?
This is an excellent capture and the sunglasses must be worth (at least) 1 point. If I'd taken this I would a) be very proud and b) put it in the free study to be voted on its excellence rather than (maybe) its uniqueness. |

Pssst! Tweet - tweet. Up Here!by glad2badadComment: comment only.
Yup, am loving the title! I'm sure you had fun taking this shot, a good viewpoint (the uniqueness?), the foreground branch adds depth and I like the green greens. whats the book he is holding? maybe a map would have been a better prop? |

Bizarre Balloonsby SuttonNComment: comment only.
hmmm, do those 'balloons' actually float? This doesn't do much for me as a never before seen image on dpc. It looks like a complex image to light correctly and doesn't WOW me. |

what do YOU see ?by beekeeperComment: not voting.
OK, you got me here! I'm a big cloud watcher, visualizer but all I can see here is a not so interesting picture of the sky - what did you see? |

I'm not quite feeling like myself today.by RKTComment: comment only, not voting.
ooh, my first LB shot (10). Am loving the title though you could have dropped the 'like' I think. Quite a surreal image though am commenting in a sober state so might have to revisit later. Am thinking B&W though colour may well be the better option and the colour is very nice. Can I recommend a decent psychiatrist? Good luck with both the challenge and impending treatment! |

One Man's Junk Is Another Man's Rainbowby HipychikComment: comment only, not voting.
Yuour right, I've never seen a row of 9 suitcases on dpc before, does that make this a unique image? thats the reason I'm not voting, this is like a free study with a half hearted attempt at a theme and I think voting will reflect that.
I think the centred composition worked and am drwan to the cracked road surface top right. Good exposure and nice colours - good luck! |

Contagiousby L1Comment: comment only, not voting.
ok, I'm not really sure what this is? maybe a cloth, microscope slide, stamens? So, I can say yes, for me its probably unique but there is nothing here that really holds my interest or makes me think WOW. Am looking forward to the 'reveal' at challenge end. |

My heart under your feetby Rino63Comment: comment only, not voting.
ok, I've never seen a decorated sole of the foot before so guess we can add this to the (imho) small number of images I class as truly meeting the challenge. I like the composition, lighting and focus though would have liked the heart a little sharper. The edge of the tile spoils this for me, and whilst you did well with the skin tones, how does this look in B&W? |
