Branching Illusionby BeeCeeComment: Very neat! The thumbnail caught my eye when I bumped into your profile page. I love the colors in this! The shadows produce an almost 3-D tree there...a wonderfully weird effect! I think you could have a lot of fun with this wall, the free municipal lighting, and a few friends. |

Stump Sleddingby JPRComment: Somehow, everytime I look at this I want to rotate 90 degrees to the right. I can see what you were going for, I just don't think it works. Don't much care for the heavy processing that muddies the leaves, either...sorry. |

Waiting for Christmas Charlie Brownby theSajComment: Pretty little blue spruce....but it needs it's own space. The tree on the right is intrusive. The background somewhat distracting. Recomposing this shot would help show off your subject a bit better. Like the title, though. |

A Tree in the Neighborhoodby banmornComment: Nice location. I think, however, that the composition is lacking. Everything happens in the lower left corner of this image...but without meaning. I'd like to see the rest of the stoop, for example. I don't understand what the casual stroller (checking his cell messages?) is adding to the image. The tree...well what can one say about dead center? There are lovely, interesting shadows of the tree on the wall and walk to the right...I just wonder what you could have done with them had you re-composed the shot. |

Poor Twisted Meby hopperComment: There is an interesting surreal quality to this image. I think it's overdone, however. The technique seems to dominate the subject taking away from it rather than adding. |

Cut Downby BeckyTComment: I like the idea of using a stump to represent a single tree. But, because it is presented so level from the side the stump has lost dimension making the whole feel flat. I'd also like to see the points of the splinters at the top as cutting them off (along with the ground) creates an odd composition that feels incomplete in the telling of the tale. |

Kitsilanoby seebrownComment: Despite the size of the tree this image seems to be about the sunset. |

Autumn Leavesby Judith PolakoffComment: The leaves have an ethereal feel to them. I think the focus is misplaced, however...I'd actually like to see less detail on the trunk in the lower left hand corner since it draws attention away from the whole. |
