Better Lucky Than Goodby neilmwilsonComment: The lack of focus on the divot fixer detracts from the overall effect. In fact, I don't think the object needs to be there at all--it makes for a busy composition without seeming to add any important information. Generally an inventive idea for the challenge. |

Along Came A Rainbowby Polar7Comment: Well, you already know you're stretching a bit since there are rainbows at the Horseshoe Falls almost any sunny day..... But the subject is decently captured. A lower point of view and the edge of the falls would have hidden the cast shadow on the mist. Lucky you for being in one of my favorite spots this past week. |

Welcome to my house!by oksamitComment: Very nice! I like the way the power lines play into the subject. Light on the bird also helps create some of the success here. It makes one think about the relationship of the made and natural worlds. One of the nicest so far. |

Hammered Bolt ?!by s4nd3r99Comment: Interesting technique. The background is degraded on my screen. And, I have to ask, how is this a "wise discovery" or a "fortuitous accident"? |

Serendipitious Signby candycornComment: Just your luck, they were closed. The lighting seems unbalanced with the brights to bright on the left pulling the eye away from your subject. Perhaps a more limited depth of field or closer cropping would help? |

Fallen Delightby RoosterComment: Sorry, I don't understand your subject. Discovery of fire? If so, the modern context of pavement and the model's shoes and clothes don't work. Sepia was a nice choice in this case. I guess more definition on the white object would make this all clearer to me---now I'm wondering if that's a flower..... |

Findby didnthaveacameraComment: Nice set up. Don't care for the color--seems to say to me that something in the case is on fire. Perhaps context would help define this more as "serendipity" as opposed to "surprise." |

penicillinby garlicComment: Petri dish needs to be more "present" (IMHO). Depth of field seems to attempt this but I don't think it pulls it off. Nice concept for the definition of "serendipity" |
