Aqua Fountain of Lightby robbiehComment: One of the few I have seen so far which appears to really be "painting with light". I do think that the label detracts from the picture as a whole. It seems that it either should not be there at all or it should be sharper and crisper |

Chess, Mate?by kayceeComment: Very nice picture, but I can't see the "movement". Seems like static lighting rather than moving light or a build up of light from a long exposure and different light sources. |

viridisby MJENNIComment: Shame that the top of the head has been cropped and I cant see that ot has been "painted with light". It simply looks like 1 or more static lights. |

Moon Perfumeby admart01Comment: Difficult to see any movement of the light source. Very nice use of light - I love the little halo at the bottom of the crescent but I have only marked it this low because it appears so static. |

Sparkling personality by timmiComment: How many goes before you set him alight? The only thing I would have tried to do was to keep the sparkler a bit further back to keep light off the hands. On second thoughts.....No. It's right as it is |

Chinese Zodiac "Sheep"by tolovemoonComment: Nearly, but the top of the head is burned out and the face and body seem to merge into blackness. I do like him and it makes me laugh. As you have a digital camera - even if you do not have proper studio lights - a spotlight pointing lower left may have pulled out a little detail |

Swamp Dragonby amsmythComment: As this was appearing I was thing - Yes - Brilliant - something a bit different. I love the idea but I don't think the shape is quite near enough. I am glad though that someone did at least think a bit more out of the box and as it's a good shape and interesting I still go with a 7 |

Mr. Monkeyby wkmenComment: One thing, for me, has spoiled this picture and it would be easy to put it right. This very funny monkey has a great texture. It makes what could have been an ordinary soft toy "special" BUT the background which has the right colour to bring out his colour is too shiny. It is competing with his "sparkliness/glitter". Such a small thing. Try reshooting it with a similar colour cloth but non-reflective. I hope you think it makes a difference |

Rocky Mountain Sheepby falveyComment: Such a shame that the snow burned out so much. Very difficult shot to get away with unless you meter from the right place. I guess you metered from the animal. If you can with your camera - thiswould have been one of those to use grey card on. Of course if yours is fully automatic then that would be impossible and in that case cropping it differently would help eliminate the problem but still leave some snow. If you want - I will email you a jpg of how I would crop it. |
