I love this. It lacks almost everything a typical "technically well executed" photograph has. Focus, sharpness, contrast, blacks... It's a grainy, blurry mess full of overblown highlights, but i still love it. Definitely in my top 5.

Based on some recent forum activity, you're gonna get slammed by some voters.

Green on the broccoli would have complemented well with the colorful mess is the out of focus background. It simply begs to be in color.

I would really like to see a color version of this (if you have one) in the outtakes.

What bothers me the most in this shot is that the image is tilted. It bothers me a lot. That and the totally overexposed top (or is it back) part of the salad - the unsung hero of this shot.

I love the story and the idea. Maybe some film grain and/or a slight vignette would have emphasized it. The shadows behind the ladies talking to each other are really disturbing, though. There are also some clipped highlights on the guy's shirt. On camera flash?

Technically, the photo lacks a bit more saturation in the colors, to make them pop a bit more and some more exposure, especially in the top right corner. The other aspects of the shot (composition, the moment, the focus, the expression of the dancer...) are excellent. I guess that it was difficult lighting setup. Low light, high shutter speed, high ISO...
