The elephant being nearly the only thing in stark focus was easy to see. However for me, this appears to be a snapshot of a cat. For cat lovers and owners Im sure it is cute, but for the rest of us, it is only a simple snapshot.

Pipes and Pumps

This room has so much potential for great photography. However the dreamy effect used here does not offer it. It appears to have a slight blur on everything and does not pop like I would expect it too. The mid-range contrasts are extremely flat and offer no depth of character with all that texture.

Christmas Cabin

I enjoy the concept here. Though for me, I think with how well this can stand out it would have been served better to capture it later at night with a wider shot so it could be a beacon of sorts in the woods.

Last Light

Lovely colour on the clouds and the hill has nice clarity. It is a lovely scenic shot but does not give me enough pop for the challenge.

This has potential. The contrasts work well as does the blurred clouds and strong structural lines. Just does not push enough for me, this perspective may be nice, much nicer than straight on, but the huge dark square in the lower middle frame just makes the viewer feel as if their view is blocked and they cannot see the whole picture.

The colours are nice but the blurriness of the image is a distraction for me and does not appeal. But like I said the colours are nice and the composition is decent.

The water certainly does look chilly. Yet, the image as a whole just does not give me a strong sense of cold. The warm colours and the huge distance with more warm colours say to me that it is warming up, not freezing.

This may fall under the no pictures of existing artwork rule. It appears the main focus is the figure. Though I don't really understand at all what you are trying say here, for me, I find this an ok snapshot.

Cute snapshot from the zoo. The contrast is almost there but the colours seem muted and dull to me. I would have liked to see this with more depth and vibrance then I bet the viewer would believe they could jump off the screen.

Something fun about this image but also something manufactured. It is as if a brush was taken to make all the trees and stuff. Easily this can be a piece of traditional artwork and not a photograph. Maybe, maybe not. But the question is there.
