Welcome to Washington DCby sekarmalathyComment: Im not sure about the way the sky fades in and out here, the halo around the dome is distracting. Other than that, great choice of subject, beautifully framed, nice use of late afternoon light. top ten. |

Brusselsby ELLIPSComment: Its a lovely shot, very balanced and polished; but wouldn't a post card have "atonium" or some such descriptor on it, since this image is not the classical image of the city? I know its not a major point and more of a graphic design issue than a photographic one, but I think it will hurt your score. |

Show off!by KelliComment: Great find and framing, but the softness of focus will keep you out of ribbon land here. Almost, not quite. |

With Diamonds In Their Wakeby GeneralEComment: the exposure is just right to show off the diamonds in the reflections, but since the ducks were supposed to be the focus of the image, your exposure hurts your score here. this may be one of those times when a nice image scores lower in a challenge than it might in a free study. |

Spring is here!by darynComment: The blacks seem a bit blocked out here, otherwise a very appealing entry, nice colors and use of depth of feild |

Mission Impossibleby limerickComment: Between the PETA folks and the people who are just sick to death of any pet shots this is gonna score much lower than it ought to. Very sound technically, and while the B&W conversion is well handled, Im not sure it helps the image, unless there was some color issue, if I picture it in color, i think I'd like it better. The kitten's weary "what now?' expression cracks me up. |

Flamingoby perjorgenComment: I may be dead off here, but this shot has a strong yellow cast on my monitor, which looks like a color error which I got on a recent submission when I failed to change the image to sRGB before saving for web in Photoshop. If I'm right msg me and ill show you the link that fixed my issue.
Ohterwise, i like the framing, but the focus is a bit soft. maybe another USM after saving for web? |

A day on the beachby hallgrgComment: A very well composed shot, but the blacks at the bottom are blocked out, and it seems a bit too soft over all ( though that is an issue of taste); but I'm not sure how this relates to the challenge. |

The Oracleby VitaminBComment: There have been a few shots of these sorts of lamps, each slightly off in one way or another. This is the one Ive been waiting for. Interesting framing, lamp as main subject, well saturated, smooth colors. I just hope you don't get too many voters tired of other's attempts by the time they get to your fine entry. Nice work. |

Chrysler Building Reflectionsby APComment: Its odd how a challenge changes perceptions of an image. The reflections would mar this shot normally, but for this challenge the reinforce the lighting and push it solidly into the top ten |
