Brightonby marboComment: The vivacity of the colors in the sky and on the sand seem to leach a bit of the life from the lights of the pier, sapping some of the energy of this very nice shot. the subject matter and framing are dead on, but they eye gets pulled away from the main focus. |

Signed the Reaperby drewhosickComment: now this one made me laugh!
on the technical side i wish you had a true black in the frame, it just seems a bit flat. |

Coryby JuliBocComment: It is said that a burden shared is a burden lightened, I'm not sure the same can be said about the pain of loss. I hope it can help that we have shared some of your loss through these lovely images, and you good words, perhaps in sharing , you can lighten your load. |

Flawlessby raishComment: I think this is a bit of a cheat. Some of your other brown ribbons have had better wit and displayed a more subtle response to the challenge than this, and yet you carry off the hardest of all browns with pure technique? tisk tisk tisk. |

Big Thunder Mountain, Disneyland, CAby bspurgeonComment: There are alot of entries in this challenge that are better photographs than postcards, this is the opposite. Its a shame that the train is quite so blured, some helps, but this is too much (IMHO). That said everything else , especially the typography is prefect. top ten. |

My placeby Delta_6Comment: This is a lovely exposure, but it think it would have looked more "postcard-like" if you had gone for the 4x6 proportions rather than this more squared up crop. That and the blown center on the ferris wheel are the only knocks on this fine image. |

Cherry Blossom Timeby MaryOComment: Great depth of field and a classic postcard image, and while postcards to tend toward the supersaturated, the blue of the sky here is a touch overdone, and more importantly it draws the eye away from the Smithsonian, monument and blossoms. Despite that, top ten. |

Healey Dellby hesitantComment: What you have here is lovely, but I wish there was more for this challenge. The framing which cuts off the top of the bridge or viaduct keeps the focus on the water, but I wish I could resolve what the structure was. Also the name Healey Dell is fine as a photograph, but is not well enough known world-wide to stand alone. This is a lovely subtle image, but it whispers where postcards tend to shout. |
