Where there is smoke... there is FIRE!by Silent-ShooterComment: Sorry I cant help you with why it was scored low, i gave it a 7.
I think 3 things lowered your score, smoking is bad for your score, narrow focal plane and shooting from below. i think all 3 add to the image, but ill bet they annoyed those folks who hand out 1s 2s and 3s |

A Very Aussie Memberby BarbBComment: The odd framing choice to lop off the forehead ought not to work, but here it does.It helps a feel of distant melancholy, ought to ribon |

Looking Back by QuigleyComment: Great framing and attitude, but a bit of oddness in the face from some less than stellar dodging holds it short of full marks. Top ten |

Miss Taterbugby KenComment: Lovely, evocative and rich, my only 10. I expect it to get about a 5.8, but its damn near perfect for this audience of one. |

Marac by TomCubisComment: I really wish the highlight in the eye in shadow had been in focus. Just a bit more DOF would have sent this very good portrait over into ribbon land. |

Sisiby phooztComment: The lack of light in the eyes hurts what is one of the best images yet. |

Archesby bcrantsComment: A very nice shot, lovely glowing light, but too much of the top third of the image is blocked up blacks on my monitor. A bit more dodging out to bring up details, or cropping out to put the weight on the areas where there is detail would have helped. Never the less, this ought to do well |

A is for Aquaby IreneMComment: Enough with the water drops already! Especially when they are as rich and beautifully lit as this. Its bloody annoying when some of us have to seek out far and distant places to shoot and all you have to do is turn on the tap to get a complex and subtle abstract with great detail and visual interest. I hate it. Great shot, top three, grats |
