— REACH —by Bear_MusicComment: i gave this a 6... i liked it; more for the post editting than the actual shot itself though. the picture seemed not really all that much thought about, to be honest. it keeps a sense of heightened urgency and realism, i suppose. but like i said, it's the editting that sets it apart from the run of the mill; i think it's effectively done; though one suspects might have been moreso if went monochrome. also, i'd have taken off the camera strap; looks like big floppy bunny ears which probably isn't the look you were going for. might be wrong; you might like big bunny ears (i know i do, they're lovely) and you might have wanted to maximise cute bunny ear awareness amongst dpcers. it's worked. can't stop thinkng about them now. anyway, 6. |

Up Periscope!by aimeethetooComment: i gave this an 9. generally i'm a total sucker for IR, and this is a super crisp nicely bright and lovely example of how good it can look. the environment is very invitingly pretty. the reason i didn't give a ten was i felt that the environment is slightly too prominently vying for the attention of the viewer, almost making the self portrait element inconsequential. i personally love how the camera is popping into shot; it's actually a really cute way of doing it, but for the challenge i'm in two minds. and also i really feel a longer exposure might have enhanced the glossy feel a bit (i would guess that everyone likes billiard table smooth water in these sort of shots; adds to the odd surrealism you get in IR). still, great stuff. |

Irisby nico_blueComment: gave this a ten! it's a gorgeously sensual image, really is. i might like it a bit more if it was some harlot with black finger nail polish, but as it is it's wonderful. the lighting is fantastic, the sepia tones work wonderfully well, composition can't be faulted. a totally flawless image with mood, feeling and buckets of style. |

"no.....it's beyond a flat tire"by Bus352Comment: okay, it's clearly street art / scultpure ,BUT the fact that you caught some guy on the phone looking at it is sheer genius. it adds a certain context to the image that works brilliantly and lifts it above 90% of the other entries in the challenge. i certainly hope this ribbons because the timig is great. the B&W adds to the voyeuristic and journalistic nature of the picture, and is nicely bright and clear. i'm interested to know where this scultpure came from; never seen a caravan like that in america, nor the fiat uno. interesting. really funny and a great shot, and fits the challenge. 10. |

"Oh s@#%"by rlinn3Comment: humourous title, eye wincingly painful shot. good picture and fits the challenge without resorting to dopey looking faces, which means you're both a) a good photography and b) jolly creative. it's technically very well done; nice and sharp, well composed, nice blurry background. text book stuff really. 9. |

Run you fools!!!by LalliSigComment: okay, apart from the level of wackiness verging on the annoying (especially the one in the middle; looks positively a nutter), it's a pretty funny charmingly staged picture. it's also technically super; brilliantly lit and the colours (for what seems to be a night shot especially) are bright and clear and bold and lovely. the flame stuff on the left is a bit unnecessary (can't quite figure the reasoning really), but other than that greatly composed. the expression on the guy on the left is really funny. the pants on the right might have been going a bit over the top. 9. |

Camera and Water Do Not mix!by sandabellaComment: my god, you're mad! either that or the camera was already knackered; but still, not something one likes to see happen. i do feel that you could have maximised the stupidness of the shot; perhaps have someone using it and calling it underwater photography, or somesuch. it fits the challenge, obviously. it might look bit better without the strap though, because it detracts a little bit, but other than that well done :) 6. |

Stupid Situationby StructorComment: this picture is too cool, stylish, classy and smart to be considered even remotely stupid. okay, someone is doing cartwheels and handstands; if i was in such a wonderfully beautiful, lovely and peaceful place, i'd be doing the same thing. it's too happy and comprehensible to fit the challenge. i do love it very much; it would have been a 10 in the free study, but here i feel compelled to reduce it to 8. well 8.5. which rounds it up to 9. |

Teach your children wellby hahn23Comment: okay, it's a bit dodgy, but it isn't supid in the same league, as say, that stupid kid at the niagara falls in Superman... though social services would probably be onto you if you tried that. anyway, it's quite a sweet holiday ish type picture. erm, 5. |
