Spring Tulipby torrenzanoComment: You've lit this yellow flower to perfection as it really pops from the background. I'd like it to be totally in focus as your background is nicely all out of focus. The border detracts as it contains no color found in your shot so it competes with the composition and almost becomes an element (vs. a finishing edge). I'd like a bit more negative space on the right and bottom of the yellow petals. |

Inner glowby timmiComment: excellent composition! the green, yellow, and lilac colors works so well against eachother. one of the better florals this time around! |

Crocus painted with Lightby vadviragComment: you've done a good job of painting with light -- i really like the dark flowers in the background as it plays against the lighter one. the lighter one needs something more to make it the main subject - perhaps a tighter crop, a bit more light - not sure. |

Artificial Beautyby ChiquiComment: that's a fine silk rose - it looks quite real. I like your placement and use of black background. the lighting is off somehow as I'd like the flower to pop off the background -- as presented it melts into it. I think there may be a few too many water droplets as these become an element of the shot as opposed to an accent. |

Bloom, In Greenby ScottKComment: you've used light well in your composition to create interest in the shadows and the play of greens. it's hard to put into words but it's almost like you've taken an excellent background shot that's waiting for the focal point. |

Veins of Lightby K-RobComment: I've tried this type of shot and know it's quite difficult to pull off -- you've got the center point done expertly. I would like to see the sides either cropped or more in focus - this would add to the wow factor imho. The white border is a detractor - theres' no white in your shot so it doesn't add and it's too wide in proportion so it almost becomes an element of your shot instead of the finishing edge. |

The Lillyby RasaiComment: I like the spotlight on the orange thing - you've given my eye the focal point you wanted me to have. The surrounding area detracts from your lovely composition, however e.g. the yellow in the upper left. I'd like to see more of the flower but the white thing at the bottom blocks the bottom and leaves the flower with a cut-off feel. I thing the white border adds little to the shot. |

Orchidby bormicComment: You've selected a great speciment and really did a fine job placing it in your frame. Border is nicely done. The background is the only detraction I can see - it's so busy that your main subject isn't as isolated from it -- the stick/stem on the left going through your composition couldn't be avoided, I'm sure, but that does detract a bit. |

Its a beautiful morningby boyte1Comment: I like your composition and the color palette. If only you could get the sky to cooperate and give you a bit of blue all around the flower... ;) the white doesn't show off the colors as well as the white/blue mix. |
