This must be one BIG mountain..judging by the foothills at the bottom which appear to be mountains in their own right.

I`ve seen a few of this type of image so far in the challenge..but this one made me stop and look..The light plays a major part in that.. in the way it illuminates the rails and the wooden "sleepers"..the telegraph poles are an added bonus, their silhouette receding into the distance gives the picture added impact.
This is really very good and I hope that voters give it the time and score it deserves....9

Excellent composition..I also like the contrasty exposure ..but the wooden pathway is the key to success for me in this image in the way it leads the eye straight into the picture.

Vanishing Cyclist

I like the addition of the cyclist with motion blur..would like to have seen him/her further into the picture though and heading in the direction of the vanishing point..so as to lead the eye towards it rather than away from it. Having said that.. it doesn`t detract much from a good picture...8
