are-you-thereby mariucaComment: Funny to see all the shadows on the left wall. How was this scene lit? The shadow right behind the bear is not really beneficial. On camera flash? If so, why is the flah lower than the lens? |

What are you doing, boss? (2/52)by KroburgComment: Cool shot - you must've been lying in the grass since the horizon is around his eye level. I like the way he is lit, but agree that a little more earroom would be beneficial, just like a catch light. |

1 - Bus Commutersby tvsometimeComment: I would agree on the overall composition and the importance of the "real" people. If anything, the distance between the statue and the people is a bit large. |

window seatby daisydavidComment: Like it, the expression and apprehension of the model (you, I presume), the lighting. The negative probably captures more contrast than the full spectrum that my (laptop) monitor can show, where highlights look blown out and blacks are closed. How does the negative compare to the scan and JPG you posted here? |

Amethyst Sunbird I v1 (PAW 2/52)by HarveyGComment: Another lovely shot, great to look at. I love birdwatching, bit at this point in time I lack time and patience. Lovely to see what others can do. You manage to capture a beautiful bird in a natural setting, nicely framed. The one thing that strikes me from a technical point is the white outline around the bird and the leaves. This could be from back-lighting, but I guess this is a sharpening artifact, which for me is a bit of a letdown in an otherwise very nice image. |

MJO_8948by MattOComment: This has a nice dynamic in the pose - she seems to be about to jump off the chair, into the world, but is looking for confirmation on whether that would be OK to do. Technically well done, I like how the purple dress is defined against the white background. |

Amur Falcon v2 (PAW 1/52)by HarveyGComment: I like this version better than the previous one, for reasons others state as well: more room around the wings, a place to fly into. I also think that you may have over-sharpened v1, that is not as apparent here.
If you're concerned with the crooked horizon you could straighten it a little more and clone in the sky that you will be short off in PS - there is little detail of interest there anyway. |

Helvella Lacunosaby MacDonaldComment: Beautifully captured, both exposure and focus. Looks like you need to find quite a few more before you have a meal. |
