shoe makerby thrumyiisComment: These are nice subjects that make a nice picture and offer plenty of inspiration for subsequent shots. The thing that caught my eye is the bright reflection on the back wall, which seems to throw your lighting off. If you could add some shoes, or even unprocessed leather, this would make the "shoemaker" notion more complete. While you're at it, you might also try to form a little more coherent still life - the objects in this shot seem a little disconnected. |

the-mandarins_0004by mariucaComment: Good idea, loved reading the other comments. The definition (texture, color) of the orange mandarins is beautiful, but the light on the figures could be better I think. |

IMG_3801-fire-excapes-800by sfaliceComment: Pardom me for being a bit technical, but by cropping so much you are now reaching the optical limits of your camera with little imperfections now showing, e.g a blue fringe along the top (in the white to blue transition), a strange rainbow in between the two railings of the balcony, and an overall softness that is not at all present in your overall picture. |

African Jacana (PAW 4/52)by HarveyGComment: Great shot overall, I love birds. Very nice balance of colors, with only the highlight on the bud just a tad too bright. I think a little heavy on the sharpening which works well on the leaves and the water, but is bordering on artefacts on the bird. |

03 52by salmiakkiComment: For me this works nicely on the abstract part of your photo (the ice). However, where I can recognize the subject (a boat!) I am now puzzling and trying to figure which belongs to which exposure, which distracts from your picture as it is. |

Aging Gracefullyby jomariComment: Nice color palette you captured here. I find it difficult to connect with your picture: i cannot identify an entry point that captures me and guides me through the picture. Message edited by author 2013-01-22 20:30:07. |

MJO_1065by MattOComment: Nice kid. Although it must have been the umpteenth portrait you shot, it certainly doesn't show - it's fresh. |
