Komatsu Backhoeby ThingFishComment: Still mundane to me. Now, with a backlight, and the backhoe starkly silhouetted, I think it could have been over the top. Not saying this isn't a decent shot, only that the shot didn't transform the backhoe into anything extraordinary to me. |

Somewhere a Band is Playingby dswannComment: While I like the colors on your subject, I can't help but to feel like this is almost snapshot of art. Maybe there is more to this, which is why I'm not making the connection. |

A Sound of Thunderby flahermaComment: The butterfly makes the shot. Contrast, not visually, but mentally.
Turning the hunter around, so the hunter's face and the butterfly are both in the shot could have worked better... with the hunter focused on his target, but his eyes making a momentary glimpse at the symbol of innocence. |

Someone Has To Lose.by VenserComment: Looks like a lot of work went into the setup. Nicely done trickery.
I think the issue of why it didn't bomb is that it still looked wide enough and could have passed for a 20mm or so, which is probably the widest a few people have. |

End of the ageby NeatComment: Nicely done. I like the simplicity of the composition. It's all we needed to see. |

dandelion wineby odriewComment: Not a fan of the processing of this shot. To me, it just looks way too washed out. Though I do think the subject is a good one for the title, I just wish it was processed/executed differently. |

So if he burnt things with the firemen and the sun burnt Time, that meant that everything burnt!by hahn23Comment: I like the reference, but believe the composition may be lacking. The lone foreground element does put me in the picture some, and without it the image would be lacking further, but there is nothing to draw me into the image from the lone foreground element. I wish more foreground was included I do believe. I would like to see this same image in advanced editing too. I imagine the smoke would come out a bit more punchy. |

Something Wicked This Way Comes by CuttoothComment: I love the contrast between the shadows and the subject. A perfect marriage of the two images, with the sight lines perfectly aligned. The crop is excellent, and it shows all that is needed. |

Is that you, herb?by bspurgeonComment: Initially not something I gave much thought to, but I like it. This could also nearly pass for the abandoned challenge. The blur in the lower third throws the eye out and up to the open window, where I believe herb to be waiting. |
