pole position by Ecce_SignumComment: Just put this comment on jomari's 1st place win: "Every time I look at this and Ecce_Signum's 2nd place I like the idea of this challenge more. I absolutely know I will be adding this kind of diptych to my repertoire.
This is soooo good. I could just parrot a few others' comments:
"I especially appreciate the sense of discovery, of what's happening out on those pilings." streetpigeon
"I think that either picture would be capable of winning a challenge. I just love the lower shot!" jomari
Wonderful work, definitely up to the task in my book. Congratulations on the ribbon. |

Wonderfully done and presented (even if I do still think the processing is a bit too much for my taste - I am obviously very much in the minority there LOL).
Congratulations. |

pole position by Ecce_SignumComment: At a quick run-through of all entries last night this one caught my eye. Gave it a "higher" score and will doubtless be back for a bump or two. Really very effective, imo. |

Delightby MondComment: My 10. I just kept coming back to this one. Nice finish but not as high as I might have hoped. |

Alice, where did the rabbit go? by CNovackComment: You win, Chrystyne. I was lying on my back, too, but no falling dirt in my face or camera :) Delightful shot and yay for Sirius! Congratulations to both of you as well as to everyone else involved. It takes a village :) |

Home on the Vacuous Rangeby banmornComment: This one had me and a friend guessing all week. First we discussed - "Any idea WHATSOEVER what those white things are??" Then I did Google searches, both general and image . . . warning - do not put the word "hairy" in a search, especially in combination with the word "vegetable", unless you want to see some images you won't be able to unsee (as they say). Then I did a screen shot on just the big one and put that in the image search. Best match? Sheep, hands down! I even searched mushrooms because I suspected that was what it was - but turned up nothing.
These are fascinating. And, really, humble and endearing as Mariuca said. |
