The Rooferby streetpigeonComment: I'm not seeing the speckling you refer to and I think both the tones and the grain are very nice. Love the roof lines. Only wish the roofer was more engaged . . . or less compact and more interesting in some way. I have a roofer shot I took at dusk several years ago . . . it's not square, but now that I think of it, it might work as a square. I'll have to check. |

sensesby RKTComment: Golly, the light through those ears is really very special. I know I'd have done some serious cropping . . . but I'd have been wrong. |

Rykerby GeneralEComment: Such a somber expression. He really is not at all sure about me. Nicely balanced portrait. |

Brewery B&Wby NikonJebComment: And I prefer the black and white :) I think the light over the door is nicer here. Not sure about the interior (esp EXIT and the sign below it) - it certainly recedes here but I haven't decided yet whether I think that's good or bad. Message edited by author 2018-11-22 09:34:34. |

Cranes_IMG_2484-DPCby GeneralEComment: In my opinion, this is a fine 11. But I have to tell you, based on my experience in the challenge, I am not sure it's what the voters were looking for :) |

IMG_2328squarsmallby GeorgesBogaertComment: Wow! Now that's a burst of color and light.
At first I thought it was digitally created, but after closer examination, I've decided no, it's "just" superb in-camera zoom. It's a celebration for sure. |

Dark in the Daytimeby instepsComment: I love his stance and the way the deep shadows work in this one . . . though he may not see it, he hears something over there in the darkness for sure. Particularly nice exposure and composition - great use of the strong diagonal shadows of the dog and pole. Works well for me. |
