poor wee mites...by raishComment: not feeling the abandonment here. also the cats feel very flat and one dimensional. |

Forsaken Pastby RobskiComment: great depth and tone to this image. i can see the horror movie bad guy lurking in the background and the blonde cheerleader peeking her head out to see if things are safe to make a run for it. |

The Forgotten Oneby mlianoprComment: interesting view and great comment on society's abandonment of previous staples in whole. |

not againby cutoutComment: cute, but overall "snap shot"-y and lacking in real feelings of abandonment |

Gone Tomorrowby hesitantComment: not a big fan of the framing on this, though i'm probably in the minority. i'd like to have seen this slightly closer with a wider angle lens.
the foreground looks too clean and polished to fit in with the boarded up building. |

The Orphaned Dancerby dahlinComment: great focus here on the little girl. the enveloping shadows are a nice touch to the overall feel here. positioning is spot-on, i expect this to place well. |

Aloneby sammie2925Comment: one of the best 'abandoned person' images i've seen so far - the location, body language and minimal covering add to the fact this person seemingly has nothing in her life. the one eye showing on the tattoo looks like a young animal pleading for help, which only adds to this as it gives me a feeling that deep down she's crying for help but on the surface only a fraction of that would show through, and would quickly be covered by a facade.
i'd hope to see this in the top 10 but fear it may be lost on many looking for pretty pictures. |

heapby PennyStreetComment: given the proximity to houses i find this to be more of a pile of tires instead of something abandoned. i'm willing to bet that the residents of those houses pay attention to make sure nothing bad is happening around that pile as it would potentially impact their safety.
doesn't have the same feeling of abandonment in my opinion. |
