Lateral light is very useful to landscape photography. On this case you loose a bit of bright in the building cause that light. This make me whatch to the sky, not to the building, your primary subject.

This fit very well to the challenge. But it may be taken in a very complex situation. The light was not right, the scene was too dynamic and seems that you are not so close as you need to catch it up perfectly. The use of an speedlight can help you to get the velocity, compensating for the distance and focal lenght. Good luck.
