good idea. i think for a true silhouette you might have looked at other possible compositions if you had the time or other subjects rolling through. it just seems misbalanced to me. and i'm not sure the boat and tree add any interest to the shot.

i like the fill on his face but the shadow it created, shows it to be probably more than you needed. i would have tightened that aperture if possible to help with the blown out bg. interesting subject and nice composition. pro border.

nice pic. just a tad soft on the focus. i really like the mountains as the backdrop to add to it's airyness. i wish the bush wasn't there, perhaps it was impossible to get an angle without it.

i'm a bit confused as to your intent. armed patrols doesn't scream independence to me. quality wise you had some tough conditions to work with...strong sun and choppy water. the foam and lettering are a bit blown out so you could have done well to stop down (if possible) this smaller aperture may have also helped improve your slight fuzziness.

cool pan technique. like the colors. her expression and her closed shoulders make her seem like she is holding on for dear life. if possible having her head back and smiling would have added to the feeling of independence for me

interesting angle. possibly more interesting as a series of shots as the flag blown around at different angles. if you had to choose 1 point of view, i would have liked to seen 1 with more of the stars showing.
