Nailed It!by HarveyGComment: Another photo I do not understand. I don't know what the thing is the person is holding. Don't understand why you've chosen this processing. It's very grainy. And the title, I'm assuming, is a joke?
I dunno. I gave this a 2 |

Natures Eyelashesby JudiComment: While this may be eyelashes, I'm not fond of the macro. There isn't any real focus anywhere. The colors are just flat, and I don't enjoy the photo. Gave this a 2 |

Natures texturesby RamblinRComment: This is my third favorite image in the challenge. The reflections are beautiful. The color works. I love the way the ripples have occurred in the sand. Beautiful. Great shot of this challenge. And a wonderful title to go along! Bumping to an 8 |

Rust to Dustby jomariComment: This is my second favorite of the challenge.
While the lighting is a little too harsh, I still very much enjoy this photo. The detail is impeccable. The rusty colors are great. The title almost fits... if there was a little dust at the bottom of the peeling areas, that would have really set it off!
Well done. Bumping to an 8 |

Covered Beautyby NeilComment: This is my absolute favorite image in the challenge.
The detail is wonderful. The lighting works well. It's an abstract somewhat... but can also be seen for what it is.
The angles, the way the light hits, the shadows... it all works.
The color conversion is perfect.
Very well done!!!

Soup, anyone?by herfotomanComment: This is one of the photos that I just don't understand. It is very monotonous, an abstract that doesn't speak to me.
I'll come back after the challenge has ended and review the photographers notes to try and understand this.
I gave it a 3 |

summer drifting awayby grahamgatorComment: This is my third favorite image in this challenge.
It's so simplistic, yet beautiful. The greens and blues give it a very "cool" sense, but the vibrancy of the yellows give it warmth.
There is great detail on the little snippet of the leaf that is showing. I love how the water is focused around the edges.
The only complaint I have is the haloing that can be seen in the reflection of the water.
Other than that, I love this!

just the Beginningby mrchhasComment: This is my second favorite photo in the challenge. It evokes such raw emotion. The black and white conversion works beautifully here. The detail is lovely. The graininess works in complete favor.
I can't tell if the guy has his eyes open or not... but I think the only thing that this photo is missing is the needle that he's about to inject in his arm.
Great shot! Really wonderful. Bumping to an 8 |
