Lisa's smileby lei_73Comment: Excellent portrait. Simple but effective. Classic.
And who couldn't love those freckles? |

not so free studyby mefnjComment: At first I thought the rope could be a cobra, coiled and raising in triumph over its defeated adversary the venerable Woody.
Now I see the glass cage and your title, and it takes on another meaning. Very intriguing. |

Ya'll Come Back Now Ya Hear?by MAKComment: The impression I get is that he's posed against the brick wall, seemingly staring down the camera like it's the pistol loaded with a bullet about to administer his sentence for some crime punishable by execution.
It's also a nice juxtaposition of a character straight from a farm onto a location that must have been new and shiny in the industrial age, but could now be in any weathered downtown area, around the corner from a bar serving PBR and Fireball and a sushi restaurant.
If the intent was to leave the story up the viewer, you have succeeded greatly because I've been looking at this for a long time and it's still fascinating. |

Evening Reposeby digifotojoComment: It's all held together pretty well top and bottom by the smoothed water playing against the jagged rocks, and the smooth layer of clouds topped off by the little jagged ones. The horizon doesn't seem very sharp, though, or it could be the processing/noise reduction. |

The Woodworkerby DCrest01Comment: This is a nicely composed environmental portrait, with some good lighting although no doubt challenging dynamic-range wise. I think the processing is a little too harsh, though. |

confessionby mariucaComment: The scene and composition are nice, but the subject turned away from the camera and burying his face in his hand creates some uneasiness, not sure I like it. |

Pink Lake Kalbarriby Penny LaneComment: I like this - the cheery pastel colors and few shapes jutting up at various angles complemented by their reflections work very well together. |

A peaceful beginningby juliannjComment: Very nice colors and the small ripples in the water look good, but I'm not sure the trees on the left add much. Maybe some silhouettes in the bottom of the frame might have worked better to complement the distant and simple horizon. |
