There is a palpable tension in this image. As usual, the content is top notch - I love that it is the inanimate object being is the one confessing to someone who's mind is possible somewhere else, and missing the miracle of the moment. I also see this as a playful spirit sprite trying to connect with a bored human.

Technically, it's not my thing, although I can appreciate that the rawness of it IS some people's cup of tea. However, I think a square crop would have made this even more intimate; I find everything under the clenched fist to be unnecessary.

This was definitely one of the two most thought provoking/interesting entries (the other being, in my opnion, Pueblo), and the only reason that i scored this as a 9 and not a 10 is the few horizontal reflections from shooting through the glass.
The fact that this is seemingly an impromptu scene you found has a large amount of charm to it, and speaks volumes of your ability to get this shot before the man noticed you, but the highlights showing through also serve to break me out being lost in the image as well, i keep seeing the lines and it pulls me back just enough to keep from feeling that i am fully engaging with this man - that there will always be a pane of glass separating (and even insulating) him from everything else.
That said, it's why it's a 9 and not a 10, but this is definitely worthy of the 5 or 6 viewings i have given it, and I have also given it a mark as a favorite, because it deserves it for everything it is, and for everything that some of the other entries aren't.

lovely candid looking shot, so easy to see so many different threads being pulled here - the contemplative head, the clenched fist, the supportive yet ready to defend with hand, the statue talking as if he is wrestling with his conscience, the implied confessional booth, the notbook behind him - a journal of victories and misgivings perhaps?

The scene and composition are nice, but the subject turned away from the camera and burying his face in his hand creates some uneasiness, not sure I like it.

It's always best to confess to those who can't repeat what you've confessed!
