This looks like a movie still from something like 'Legend of the Guardians'. Wonderful composition and processing. A little nitpick - I can see some banding in the reds, but it's pretty minor. Overall - gorgeous!

Excellent focus and detail. I feel this shot was maybe taken in very strong light, which has resulted in deep shadows and flat tones. I wouldn't know how to correct that, sorry :( But that sheen on lorikeet feathers is hard to beat isn't it? :)

Love the sheen on the feathers and the colours you've captured - beautiful. This is a very documentary style shot, so I don't personally get an emotional type connection to it, which I think the best wildlife shots have.

Ummm... excellent feather detail and also on the red bit (whatever that bit's called), absolutely love that sheen on the feathers, but what sort of bird is it? It kinda looks a bit weird because it's beak is buried in it's feathers.

You've probably received heaps of comments about the tilt - I'm in the 'too much' category, sorry. Otherwise, this is a sharp, technically well done image. I think I'd've preferred portrait orientation with no tilt, but I've never seen the original shot, so wouldn't even know if this was possible.

Wow. Just wow. Focus perfect where it needs to be, soft where it needs to be. Wing movement enough to suggest movement without being blurred to non-existence. Excellently applied vignette. My one critique is that I can see black & green horizontal lines, but only to the bottom right of the bird. One of my top scorers so far.

Interesting choice of processing. Not to my tastes personally as to me, this seems overprocessed, but to each their own. With a retro/grunge border I can see this on an arty greeting card.

This shot is obviously about the birds and the man feeding them, but I became so interested in the location - trying to work out what it is (a sandy beach up against a retaining wall?) that I stopped seeing it as a 'bird' image. The conversion to b&w works well I think.
