I'm curious, what focal length did you use?
his left arm seems a little enlarged, maybe try using a longer focal length and moving futher back to capture the same image with out the distortion to his arm, but a nice sentimental pic

turn more to a 45 degree angle from the camera and turn his head back towards the camera, personally, I would crop above his knee to avoid the crotch shot that seems to be framed nicely by the chair :)
