You chose a nice mix of colors for this lovely still life. Zooming in and "supersizing" the subjects works well here, since you eliminate any distractions.
I like how the carrots are reflected in the celery. Everything looks nice and fresh, and I can almost smell them.
The black background is good as a contrast to the colorful veggies.
For the most part the dof is good, but the carrots are not quite as crisply focused as they could be. As a result there is no real detail on them.
The composition is very good, with the celery drawing the viewer right in.
Lighting is good, colors are very good. There is no noise or digital artifacts.
All in all a very nice picture. Congratulations and keep up the good work!
Regards,
Grayce |

Fading memories....by moodvilleComment: Critique Club Comments by Grayce
Congratulations on a beautiful image! I like this very much because of the techniques you employed to create it. The time you put into it paid off.
The soft focus works with the sepia to give an aged, nostalgic mood to it.
Your composition is good with fine perspective, plus just the right amount of foreground and background to give a sense of place.
Exposure is a tad dark, but I think it's fine. Contrast is soft and I like it that way, for this image.
Post processing is fine, with no digital noise.
Overall this has an ethereal quality and qualifies as art. Very nice job!
Regards,
Grayce
