Great concept, and a nice use of ordinary objects to create a great abstraction. I think this is an exception to the general rule that you shouldn't center a subject; I tried cropping with sheets of paper and it looked a lot better to me centered on a square background.

Great capture on the transluscence of the marbles and the reflections. This would also be a winner in the "soft focus" challenge for the way you bring the viewer directly to the one sharply focused item in the line.

I like the capture of the metallic textures. I think a bit more depth of field would improve this shot as the colored panel could lead the viewer more into the picture.

The way the shapes of the glasses interact at the overlap points is ingeresting. I'd have liked to see more light on the bases, they seem to get lost in the black background.

Circle Portrait

Nice use of shape as a frame, rather than the center of the photo. It takes enough of the space to become a subject, while the portrait and the building in the background form an interesting picture in themselves. Was the circular piece created for the photo? Was it there for some other purpose? Or was it added in post production (though the way the kid's arm is resting on it makes that seem unlikely).

Simplicity, yes; great lighting and texture representation, yes, but in the end, it's still just an egg with a lot of space around it.

An interesting collection of shapes, but it's ambiguous, and I'm not really sure how to relate it to the title.

Magic Mushroom

Great concept, and an interesting shape. I think the slats and molding in the ceiling detracts from the overall effect - it becomes more of a subject than the mushroom shape.

In the Garden of Globes

The spot of purple against all that drab grey really stands out and makes the picture. It might have been stronger if she were left of center and appearing to walk into the picture, rather than out of it.
