The Great Attractorby yankoComment: I spent a good bit of time staring at this photo trying to place a story on it. The image I came away with is a spirit emerging from a mine shaft. I don't know if that was your intent, but the more I look at it, the clearer I see it (time to move to the next image I suppose). As far as detractions, the light squiggle near the bottom left and the hot squiggle near the top are somewhat bothersome. |

Emergency Exitby Donna21Comment: At first glance my mind jumped to 'yup, another featureless blurry photo' but then I read the title and the image took on instant meaning. Very nice use of the blur to show a sense of urgency. |

No trespassingby XileboComment: This image has an appropriate use of DOF to suit the subject and not just the challenge. I also like the contrast in the clouds and the way the rusty barbed wire ties in with the color of the building. If the scene allowed it, shifting the shot to the right so that the green structure on the left could have been omitted might have helped. |

Lucy In The Skyby imagesbytlpComment: As an abstract, this is very nice. I particularly like the radiating lines from the bottom center. The green and the purple complement each other nicely as well. My only negatives are that I would have preferred a lighter green to match the brightness of the purple as well as more of it.
On a side note, I wish I could tell what it is that you are photographing. That is just my personal conflict with abstracts and sure to drive my crazy as I keep voting in this challenge. |

Emergence by SandyPComment: The texture and color of this photo is spectacular and the 'smirk' on the turtle is priceless. Very nice capture. This should place well. |

the wonder yearsby tateComment: Beautiful use of geometric lines, good composition, and nice depth of field. But mostly, the vibrancy of the subject to the neutral tones of the fore/background really play well together (as well as the softness of her skin in contrast to the coarseness of the wood). Very nicely done.
(Voting is done, you got my only 10. Good luck.) |

Wanna Peek?by dsmilComment: The back lighting was an excellent choice for this photo. I particularly like the angelic glow created by the light through her hair. |

Coming out of my shellby JakerComment: Dare I give a hint to my photo, but you certainly pulled off the hermit crab idea much better than I. The use of the mirror was an excellent idea. |

Peek-a-Boo Neighborby Moose408Comment: Fences are what fences are, but the knot in the slat right next to the peek hole takes a lot away from the image. Perhaps if you could have poked through a bit and placed on eye in each hole, it would have worked better. |

Spider-a-peeking by tinky2Comment: Dare I say.... technically... the spider is actually facing down. ;)
Regardless of the inane nitpicking, a very nice photograph. I always liked these types of photographs. If not for the challenge need, it would be nicer had part of the spider not been visible outside the flower. |
