Spectacular theatre scene. The two horizontal lines are perfection itself.

A lot to say about this image. In any case, it cannot be ignored, to say the least.
It tells too much. For instance, cut the top part, goblet, green drapery, vase, and the picture becomes IMHO a lot more powerful.
When the fashion for textured walls was in full bloom, meaning sponging, glaze, etc., it was used with abandon on all surfaces in commercial spaces or private homes without this "respiro" that Italians taught us (the neutral grey, the moment of pause). But the bottom part of this photo is using the texture plenty but in the same chromatic palette, so it's rich and does not need anything else. Your green velvety background tends to be this "respiro" but it's not, it's one more color behind a very colorful vase.
A long story here. But good photos are subject of good pondering.

Ben, this is an image I struggle with. It did not go beyond the effect in my opinion. It might be too vulnerable technically, thus stopping the viewer to go to the essence. The blur and movement and double image do not enhance the perception of the subject. It's just looking in a wet mirror.
I might soud harsh, but such happens with art works worth the second and third look. Art works that cannot be ignored and pierce the brain or the heart.

They look like those ferocious Greek women from Zorba! Goya would have loved these peeps so much. Me too.
