Fast Foodby bcenuComment: At first the cropping bothered me. Then, appreciating the beautiful shadow and just enough face to appreciate the carry out, I decided I love it. Nice shot. Placement of the hazy border between sand is sea is great too. |

Comes bob-bob-bobbing alongby meowComment: I love the twigs in varying degrees of focus from which the bird, sharply in focus, emerges, heading into the murky abyss. |

I Catch Youby kannewurfComment: I love how the two birds are at opposite extremes flapping their wings. The action, water spray, and and interaction between the two subjects is just awesome. The one foot in the water is perfect. |

Swoopby MagnumphotographyComment: This seems like a dramatic action scene in a movie. The war-torn hero swoops in for another attack. |

Flying Highby JooolsComment: I feel like the bird just caught me doing something I wasn't supposed to do, and is now preparing to head my way to teach me a lesson. I love it. |

Blackbird On Blueby HipychikComment: I love the monochrome, and the shade of blue is so perfect: it looks like skies I remember from my childhood. Also a rare case where I really like the border. The thin black line echoes the thickness of the twigs while the extended blue just feels like more sky. |

Fish Eye Viewby NordlysComment: I loved this at first. The alignment is fantastic. Then, after reading the title I looked more carefully and not I can't fight the sensation that I am looking straight up at a dive bomber -- and I swear I can feel that bird falling out of the sky right at me. Love it. |
