bad boy gets a time outby coolharComment: I like the shot and use of B&W. Looks like you selectively reduced the contrast on the boy--it sticks out that he looks like he has too little contrast, and yet the background contrast looks perfect. I don't understand why you would do that here. |

A New Perspectiveby jjbeguinComment: Beautiful view! I think it would have been nice to deemphasize the window and emphasize the view. Maybe a bit more zoom; maybe cropping the top. |

The Ever-Elusive Albino Squirrelby DefyTimeComment: Great capture. Now I know why they say squirrels are like rats. If you look at his head, it looks just like one! (Well a lab rat anyway.) Nice composition and shot, and DOF. A few hot spots on the back of the squirell, but overall well exposed and captured. |

"Old Time Arrival"by tfarrell23Comment: Nice choice of B&W; I think it would have been better not to clip the front of the train at the bottom, and possibly to have a little less tight crop there. |

Albany from across the Hudson Riverby Dave GordonComment: Looks familiar to me--I was just there yesterday ;) Nice composition, though some might argue this is not the best view of the city. Might have had more impact on a less gray day, with more color saturation. The fishing boat is important here--just so they don't eat the three headed fish. One nice thing I think about the capital district is we have such great blue skys much of the time, with lovely clouds. Ok, summer, anyway. ;) |

heaven's forward progressionby xburnerxComment: Wow, so beautiful it's surreal. Nits: I see a "box" in the sky area, near the frame, makes a right angle too on the left side. Suggests some unfinished work burning or replacing the sky? In any case, it detracts from this otherwise excellent image. |
