Octoberby aplomb76Comment: Was trying to get the connection to October--then it hit, Halloween. Wondering what this is. Nice image. For a calendar shot this works, but this might have more impact even closer, and with some perspective shift. |

N o v e m b e rby JoviComment: Nice scene, a bit painterly, and that's good. Some more foreground light would have been good though--especially on the building to the right, which looks to have a great roof.
I struggled with this myself, but it seems to me calendar shots are always landscape (though I guess they could have borders left and right). Not taking off though, just pointing out. (Actually, I am going to try and go through and comment without actually voting...I am getting tired of "Scoring" images.) |

Airby arngrimurComment: I thought I had already left a comment on this one! But I'll leave another. Very nice, and this is an excellent entry into the impressionistic project thread! |

window view.jpgby daisy77Comment: This is great Margaret! I think you might also try a variant version extracting a bit more than the upper left quadrant. There's some interesting "brush" effects going on there, and you would get a nice closeup of the berries. (I am suggesting you keep this one but try a second variant--I like the whole shot as well!)
The colors are perfect for this as well. |

Sightseeingby arngrimurComment: This is fabulous! The one thing that I might suggest, though, is to try a version without the people in the back (perhaps by cropping or cloning). I think the effect with the driver and horses and background are perfect. The people in the cart, less so, and their bright faces are a bit of a distraction. Isolating them out somehow, it's like a beautiful painting.
Should you want to leave it as is--it's still a winner and going in my favorites. |

Still My Turn by scalvertComment: Congrats on another ribbon Shannon! Very effective shot, well composed and executed. I'll have to get some of that spider web stuff--it obviously comes in handy. (Personally, I would have covered her in it, but she probably didn't want that did she? LOL). |
