Sailor's Delight (Neil, IMAGE_ID=640852) by markwileyComment: Fine image Mark!
Perhaps some people do not realize that this is Pemaquid Point light rather than Castle Hill (or perhaps they are being tongue and cheek and I didn't catch it). I don't know of many lights with the charm that Castle Hill has, and also so close to the shoreline. But it's a fine, and different shot of Pemaquid than the usual reflection shots (I'm guilty of that).
And you had a better (clouded) sky than I did!
(Also, not that it matters, except in the interpretation of my title...this is sunrise, Sailors Delight was sunset, "Red skies at night, Sailors Delight!"!)
In the end, you took home the Yellow, tied with the original! Congratulations.

Magpie Ninja by DennisheckmanComment: Wow. Great!
Who won (besides you!)?
And what kind of snake is this?
I see this winning a lot of nature/wildlife contests!

Bridge of Timeby AmmieComment: Commenting only: I'm having a bit of trouble connecting the title: where's the bridge? Or perhaps a metaphor I'm not getting from the shot. A bit of intrigue is added to the shot with the man...though he's not very salient here. I like the depth of the photo, though the BG could use a bit more contrast IMHO. |

city sunshineby tvsometimeComment: Commenting only: I love the shadow work and leading lines here. I like the inclusion of the feet, but I think it's a bit "too" cutoff. |

Loves Kissby IvoryComment: Commenting only: I like the high key here...though it might be a bit too high since their shirts disappear into the background. The woman is thoroughly convincing here per the title. The man not as much...he doesn't seem as "into it". |

Pilgrimby LevTComment: Commenting only: Stunning image, well processed with what I presume is an added texture. In any case, it's like a beautiful painting! |

Flaming Treesby kasabaComment: Commenting only: I am a fan of this motion blur effect, and this is pretty well done. The color contrasts are most interesting here. |
