Light reflection on cristalby carlosmfernandesComment: Classical study with good exposure control. I can't help but mention that the upper right part looks much like an eye. It could have been exploited to the photographers advantage by having more focus on it. It's an good enough photo as is but that might have made it exceptional. |

Peeled Faithby BethanComment: Classic subject. Interesting composition. Excellent tonal range. The only thing I would question is the decision to leave the dark area to the right. I'm not to good with negative space, I prefer to fill the frame so if I question it, it doen't mean it's wrong. |

Old Home Placeby DustyOComment: Looks just like the house Steve Martin lived in in the movie "The Jerk". If you haven't seen it, it starts out with "I was born a poe black boy." And it shows him on the porch with all his family around. They are all black. Not trying to be racist, this picture reminded me of the movie. It's one of my all time favorite movies.
Anyway. This house is a worthy subject for b/w. Good job. |

In My Bedby duncesComment: Great idea. I think the shadows are fabulous. The tones and lighting wonderful. But the blanket so close to her face gives me a smothering type of unpleasant feeling. And that's funny because I always borrow my head under the covers. |

Milk warming, black clouds roiling ...by markmulkerinComment: And it's just the start of the day. I love how little kids get fully invested into whatever emotion is passing over them at the time. I bet she/he was as calm as a foggy morning in about 5 minutes. Good photo. |
