Phillipsburg Manor, Established 1860by TranquilComment: Nice image and good, if not quite appropriatefor the challenge, sepia treatment. I usually imagine a colour image for "... an image that represents an area as a visitor might see it". But that's just me. |

Paradise, only a boat ride away!by jmleliiComment: Man, I can't get past how her shoulder blades are placed... looks like she's a contortionist or something. The eyes are drawn to them, which is most likely not the intention of your image. |

Land Between the Lakesby parrotheadComment: Nice soft feeling about this image, but that halo around the kid in the water is very distracting. I have no idea what technique you used, but I'm pretty sure that proper use of gaussian blur could have avoided this artifact. I'm just learning how to use Gaussian Blur myself and am quickly realizing that it can work wonders. |

Bré : The Scenic Seaside Townby aznymComment: The expanse of beach does not really add any thing to the photo shot from so close to the ground. I think a better approach would have been to get the camera as high as possible off the ground to give a better feeling of perspective. The way it's shot here almost shows us a grounded seagull's point of view. Very nice sky with wispy clouds. Could have been underexposed a bit to get better colours on the buildings and to avoid blown out whites. |

Vancouver BCby CantiqueComment: Nice urban shot, but slightly overexposed boats and condo towers. Love the colours of the aquabus. |

National Carillionby dhareComment: I find the lighted part of the carillion a bit too saturated to my liking and there is a very visible hot spot. I wonder if a shorter exposure time could have helped? |

Rodeoby kennytComment: Too bad the back of the statue is cutting out the edge of the sign on the building. |
