I know that the trees are silhouetted in the image, but the image composition puts much more emphasis on the setting sun rather than on the silhouette, which was the target of this challenge. Wicked sunset. Must have been awesome to witness.

I love how the kid is lit: it lamost has a comic book feel to it. I think I would have cropped off a bit of the bottom to have a bit more sky showing. Good work.

A good attempt, but it's clear that you camera metered on the horse instead of the background, causing the background to be overexposed and the horse to have too much light to constitute a silhouette. If your camera has manual priority functions for aperture and shutter speed (M), try getting a reading off the background and keep those settings to execute the shot.

The girl with the vail rocks. Not sure about the other fellow. I find he takes away from image impact. Nice colours, but it feels a bit washed out. I think you could have boosted reds, magentas and blues a little.
