Illuminatedby KarenNfldComment: Expertly lit so that the capillaries and leaf structures stand out in sharp relief inviting a view into the marvellous diversity that is so commonplace in Nature and yet so unseen. The veins resemble a highway with their main thoroughfares and smaller avenues, a well thought out plan to service the leaf with life giving nutrients. Even in its season of slow decay it brings beauty to the world. |

An Untributeby BugzeyeComment: Superb capture of a mushroom, so crisp that each delicate gill folds over onto itself in the cap umbrella making a beautifully fragile pattern of undulating lines and anchored by the stem. One of my absolute favourites in this challenge. |

...for every tatter in its mortal dress...by Bear_MusicComment: "Soul clap its hand and sing, and Louder sing..." for this superb macro of an aged hand complete with lines and wrinkles, whorls and creases, skin patterns, textures, shapes and the marvel of humanity. Thanks also for the nod to Yeats, a superb Sligo Irish poet. |

Peeling a bananaby HarlequinComment: Wow - the textures in this are creamy, colourful and delectable. I have eaten many of this fruit in my lifetime but never really paused to look at it in quite the way it is presented here. I see much more now due to this presentation, even in the peel. Well Done. |

Frosted Spiders Trailby KivetComment: The frost patterns highlight this tiny delicate noose. How apropros that the cold spider uses it to catch his dinner. How creative and unique that you had the vision to capture it so that others may see as well. |

Urchinby TerComment: Predominant and repeating circles echoing individual shells large and small make up this also circular sea creature skeleton. The brown tones are warm and engaging but the fractal like patterns draw you in. At the top, in the centre is the black unknown maw. |

Brush Strokesby andreisComment: The 4 contrasting colours are greatly enhanced by the rough wall textures which highlight the paint strokes. This is simple and abstract, and also quite pleasant to view. |

Shroom Detailby franktheyankComment: The repeating folds of this simple mushroom almost resemble an earthen landscape in this superb macro replete with curves and enveloped with complementing warm brownish and grey colour tones. This flows beautifully. |

Off of the wall by AbeebephotographyComment: While it took me a moment to realise what this was, I very much like the textures in it. It is rusted but the colours are warm and it is such an intricate study of a commonplace thing which bears looking at in a new way. Thank you for your expertise in providing that view. |

Assuming the Poseby ShutterPugComment: This critter knows how beautiful he is - the colours and contrasts are superb and the shot is so crisp you can almost see all the individual cells which make up his froggy skin. The silver he is sitting on is a nice touch as it both illuminates him and adds to the richness of the portrait. |
